How To Apply
Eighth grade students living within the attendance area of Cleveland High School and attending a Portland Public School will be automatically enrolled at Cleveland for the following year. Approximately 20% of the Cleveland student population do not reside in the attendance area but transfer in. For those wishing to transfer in to Cleveland, please visit the School Choice page on the Portland Public Schools website.
For 2013-2014, the transfer cycle opened Feb. 1, 2013 and closed Feb. 22, 2013.
Check back in late Fall of 2013 for 2014-2015 transfer cycle dates.
Come to this annual Cleveland Open House where you will learn about "bridging the gap" between 8th grade and High School. Meet CHS teachers, students and parents; hear about class offerings, student activities and resources, as well as extracurricular athletics and student organizations; follow student-led tours; and attend informational meetings about the IB program and the Business Focus Option. This is a once-a-year event. We look forward to seeing you there!
