Reach me by phone:  the Chief Joseph school phone is (503)916-6255.  I have voice mail on this system, or you can leave a message with our secretary Patsy Burke, or have your call put through to my room.  I am easily reached by phone, but call during class, only to give urgent messages to your child or to me.

Reach me before or after school, for a quick chat: 

In the morning, you may catch me for a quick talk at 8:45am, and we can check in briefly.   In the afternoon at 3pm, you can check in with me about a question, concern, or check in about your child's day after I have made sure each child is safely on their way home with their adult.

If you want to make an appointment to chat confidentially, I can meet most days after school, except Mondays, because I have a staff meeting to attend.

If you are concerned your child may have learning issues, needs work modified, or the work is not the  right challenge or practice level for your child, we can set up a meeting to discuss your concerns or questions.  Let me know how I can assist you, and together we can come up with solutions for your child.

Sometimes, you may be concerned about how your child is doing emotionally or with behavior. I have a great knowledge and experience about this subject, and we can sit down and figure out together some skills you want your child to have, or adaptations we can make in the classroom so your child is successful.
