Starry Night Art Project
Each year our class studies Vincent Van Gough. We read a biography of his life and discuss his style of painting. Then I model how to do a rough sketch of the Starry Night painting using pencil, then oil pastels. This is a high interest lesson with students and each year we usually pick 4 or 5 of the drawings to be donated in our annual Night of Magic auction in the spring.
