About Us

The Jewel of the North

Chief Joseph School is a neighborhood school located in the Arbor Lodge community. The school community is supportive and stable - last year 99 percent of parents attended school conferences with their children, and 91 percent of students enrolled last year completed the school year at Chief Joseph.

A structured academic program has helped increase student achievement in all areas. Students receive instruction in a language - arts block for at least 1 hour & 45 minutes a day, 45 of which is provide in small groups. Students also have more than one hour of math instruction, and 45 minutes of daily writing instruction.

Chief Joseph is a Title 1 school that uses the additional Title 1 resources to support the literacy blocks. Physical education classes are offered three times a week for students in first through fifth grade, and twice a week for kindergarten students.

Please feel free to contact us, here at Chief Joseph, so we can share more about our wonderful school.
