Music Curriculum
Chapman places strong emphasis on an effective music curriculum that gives children instruction in and opportunities for singing, dancing, playing different types of instruments, reading music notation, performing drama pieces and creating their own music. With funding from the P.T.A. we are continuing to update our music curriculum. This year with the addition of grades Kindergarten - Third Grade all students will be using the "Spotlight on Music" curriculum.
Chapman Chorus
Any student from grades 4 and 5 has the opportunity to participate in the Chapman Chorus.
Presently the chorus is working on music that they will perform at the Grandparent's Day celebration on October 31st.
The chorus will begin work winter holiday music after Halloween. We have several performance opportunities including a performance on December 5th - 7th with the Kindergarten and First Grade Music Review; a performance at Good Samaritan Hospital and holiday caroling on N.W. 23rd.
