Some information about myself:
I have taught at Capitol Hill Elementary School since the Fall of 1989.
One of my favorite authors is Jan Karon.
I had several teachers that had a lasting impact on me both professionally and personally. My kindergarten and 1st grade teacher was Mrs. Van Ortstrandt. I loved her and enjoyed having her as my teacher for 2 years. Perhaps that is why I enjoy looping and teaching the same group of children for more than one year. I grew up in Denver, Colorado. I had wonderful experiences all through my school years and on into college. I graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California where I was a French language and literature major.
