Q. What is the name of your favorite children's author?
A. Richard Peck. His stories remind me of my grandma.
Q. How long have you taught at Capitol Hill?
A. I have taught here for eight years, but my children all went to Capitol Hill! I was a parent here for 12 years before I began teaching here. It feels like home to me.
Q. Who was your most influential teacher?
A. I had so many, but a favorite was definitely my Spanish teacher when I attended Jackson High School. That's right, Jackson High School which is now our middle school.
Q. What do you like to do when you are not at school?
A. I love to read, garden and take my dog, Benny, for walks!
Q. Do you have a favorite subject?
A. Yes, all of them! I especially love to teach Social Studies and Art.
