Q. What is your favorite read aloud for students?
A. The Watsons Go to Birmingham, 1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis.
Q. Who was your most influential teacher?
A. My most influential teacher was my first teacher, my mother. She was my biggest supporter in education and life.
Q. How many years have you taught at Capitol Hill Elementary?
A. This is my thirteenth year at Capitol Hill.
Q. What are your other experiences in education?
A. I worked in the T.A.G. department, testing and teaching children. I enjoy writing curriculum, including the teaching of writing for
teachers, a social studies textbook for students, and T.A.G. curriculum for primary students. I have also worked in migrant
education, and for years I taught a summer program for Parks and Recreation.
