Walk + Bike Challenge

May 6-31

Be active, win prizes, and have fun by walking, biking, or scootering to school this month. Fill out your Walk + Bike Challenge scorecard each week and give it to your teacher or the office. We will count up how many staff and students use active transportation to get to school each week, and offer incentives and prizes for participants.

It’s more fun with friends! Join our “Walking School Bus” on Thursdays this month. Meet parents Tye and Tanya at SE Hawthorne and 76th Aves on Thursday mornings by 8:30 for a group walk to school!

Meals For Minds

Friday, June 7, after school

Bring your reusable bags and stock up on free groceries for your family. Contact Kat or Isobel in the SUN Office if you have questions or you'd like to volunteer.

Field Day & School Picnic

June 13

Field day is “open” style, meaning the kids can choose what events they want to participate in.  There are water events and they tend to be very popular, so please plan accordingly (an extra set of clothes in the back pack).

Field day activities for K – 3rd will be 9:30-11:45am; 4th – 6th activities are from 12:15-2:30pm. Our 7th graders will be assisting with activities throughout the day. The 8th graders will be on a field trip that day.

We will have an all-school picnic from 11:45-12:15. Students can purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria or pack a lunch for this day.
