Ria Dunn
Hi, my name is Ria Dunn, and I am the School Counselor at Beaumont Middle School.
I am originally from the East Coast; I was born in Maine, but I have also lived in New York and Florida. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Maine at Farmington in 2000, and a Master of Education in Counseling at the University of New Hampshire in 2001.
I worked as an Elementary School Counselor for four years for Oxford Hills Comprehensive School District, then switched it up and moved to the High School level. I moved to Oregon in 2005, and worked for a small high school, until I came to Beaumont Middle School in 2009.
I run many fun programs at Beaumont, such as Backstage Pass, Unity, WEB Leaders, Girls Night Out, Books and Bagels and much more. I offer counseling groups throughout the school year, classroom lessons, and some brief individual counseling as well.
Outside of school I enjoy cooking and baking, weight training, kayaking, hiking with my two dogs, and I am an avid reader.
I can be reached at rdunn@pps.net
