Getting the news about bad weather
You can get PPS weather-related delay and closure information in several places:
- On the PPS home page, PPS Inside and all school websites.
- Like us on the PPS Facebook page
- Follow us on Twitter @PPSAlerts for emergency news, @PPSConnect for school, district and emergency news.
- Rapid Broadcast phone calls in all supported languages to the PRIMARY number listed on your student’s registration paperwork. Report phone number changes to your school office.
PPS decision-making process
Go to the Student Transportation webpage to learn how PPS decides to delay or close schools and other important information. View Snow Routes & Schedules for Buses. Remember to add two hours to the bus times in the event of a two-hour late start.
PPS also uses the Flash Alert service to relay emergency closure information to news media. Flash Alert allows anybody to receive the same alerts the news stations do, but PPS cannot guarantee their delivery.

Ways to get involved right away…
Our PTA is growing stronger each year and is led by Diane Bader. The first event planned is the Back to School picnic which will be Friday evening, September 12th. Please email email@example.com if you have time and interest to see what may need to be done to promote and coordinate this event. Or, if you have interest in hearing what the PTA has planned for the year and how you may be able to help out, Diane's the one to contact. PTA meetings will be held at the school every third Thursday of the month at 7PM.
Our Foundation continues to help support staffing in a number of different academic areas. There are a few fundraisers each year to generate this financial support, as well as an increasing number of families who contribute to the Foundation with monthly contributions. Please consider setting up your account with Beaumont through www.allhandsraised.org today. Just determine the amount for your monthly donation, designate Beaumont as your school of choice, and you're all set! If you would like to learn more about the Foundation or have an interest in joining our email list, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Monthly meetings will be held at the school every third Wednesday of the month, starting September 17th at 7PM.
If your student is planning to participate in the Music Program, there is an active parent group who helps to coordinate concerts and support the Music Teacher. If you are interested in playing a role with this program, please contact email@example.com
