Nací en Chile en 1964. Entre los años 1974 y 1978 viví en Brasil y luego retorné a Chile. En 1993 vine a vivir en los Estados Unidos y viví en Los Angeles, California hasta el 2004 cuando me vine a vivir a Portland.

En 1988, me gradué de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile con un grado de ingeniería especializado en Administración de Empresas. Desde entonces he trabajado en varias areas de negocios y finalmente en el 2006 entré a la Lewis & Clark College para hacer una maestría en educación, donde me gradué en el 2007.

Durante mi primer año como profesor, hice clases de castellano (español) en la escuela secundaria Westview en Beaverton, Or. Desde el año académico 2008-2009 h hecho clases en el tercer grado doble inmersión de la escuela Beach.

En mi tiempo libre me gusta mucho pasar tiempo con mis perros, Baxter, Luna y Benji, salir a caminar y hacer senderismo, viajar a otros paises, esquiar y acampar.

A mi me gusta mucho vivir en Portland y luego de haber vivido y visitado muchas ciudades en el mundo, Portland es la ciudad que considero la mejor.

Espero que este año escolar sea muy bueno para mi como para cada uno de los niños en la clase y que tanto yo como ellos aprendamos a ser mejores personas por medio de un trabajo en comunidad donde todos nos respetemos y nos ayudemos.

I was born in Santiago, Chile in 1964. Between 1974 and 1978 I lived in Brazil and then back in Chile until 1993 when I moved to U.S. I lived in Los Angeles, Ca from 1993 until 2004. I have been living in Portland, Or since 2004.

I graduated with a bachelor degree in business administration in 1988 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and worked in different areas of business until 2004. In 2006 I was admitted to Lewis & Clark College Graduate School of education where I graduated in 2007 with a Masters of Arts in Teaching.

My first year as a teacher, I taught Spanish at Westview High School in Beaverton, Or. Since the year (2008-2009) I have taught third grade dual immersion at Beach.

In my leisure time I like to spend it with my dogs Baxter, Luna and Benji, take walks in the city, hiking, travel to other countries, camping and skiing.

I love to live in Portland and after living and visiting many cities around the world, I cannot think of a better city to live in.

I hope this year is a very good one for myself and each of the students in the class. I hope we all grow as people by working as a community in which we all respect and help each other.
