Timber Joey and Timbers midfielder Diego Chara read in Spanish and English to Atkinson Elementary School during a special visit on Wednesday, April 29, 2015:
The pair shared their passion for reading with students, took questions, gave out high fives and hugs and encouraged kids to read at home.
PPS is grateful that the Portland Timbers are a community partner involved in helping the district ensure that all students read well by the end of 3rd grade.
Thanks, Timber Joey and Diego Chara, for giving back to your community and making reading fun!
