Why Attendance Matters

Atkinson Foundation:

Many of you have given generously to our Atkinson School Foundation. Giving means your time volunteering and/or your donations monetarily.  Both help provide extra funds for staffing at Atkinson and both are very much appreciated. Thank you!

With the support of our principal, Ivonne Dibblee and Site Council the dollars donated last year are being spent to fund our library and technology lab assistant which supports the goal of providing technology learning for our students at Atkinson.  It is our hope to continue funding additional staff to support our students educational needs here at Atkinson.

Be sure to select Atkinson Elementary School as the recipient.

Box Tops for Education:
If every student collects just 10 Box Tops then Atkinson receives over $500! Clipping Box Tops is an easy way for you to help our school buy what it needs. Any time you purchase participating products (General Mills, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, Green Giant, Kleenex, Ziplock and Hefty to name some), clip the pink Box Tops off the packaging and turn them into the office. Attach them to a Box Top Buck to be eligible for prizes. Every Box Top counts! For a complete list of participating products, visit:

A Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year.  We have so many things to celebrate about our wonderful community.  The dedicated staff and families of this community continuously inspire me.  Atkinson is a diverse learning community of children and adults who encourage family support and participation and work together as creative, competent compassionate learners.  Together we help every child reach his or her potential and we look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Whether you are dropping your child for the first day of kindergarten or you are a veteran Atkinson parent, the start of the school year is always filled with emotion and excitement.  We want all of our students to be happy and successful.  We hope that you find the experiences at Atkinson enriching and rewarding.

Thank you for trusting us with this great responsibility. It is truly an honor!

Ivonne Dibblee
