Resources for Parents
- Arleta Boosters: Arleta Booster’s are dedicated to supporting the children, teachers and community at Arleta School through volunteerism, outreach, fundraising, advocation and enthusiasm.
Boosters meet the secondTuesday of each month at 8 a.m., and the fourth Thursday or each month at 6 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend any time!
All meetings take place in the Arleta Living Room (next to the Library). Don’t forget to check in at the office and get your volunteer name tag. Please check in at the office or contact Kate Thomas at kandgthomas@msn.com to sign up to be on our email list and be updated with school-related events and planning activities.
- Volunteer Activities: Parent volunteers help build confident kids and ensure the success of our school. Volunteer in the classroom, at extra-curricular events and programs, help Arleta be green by joining the "Green Team", maintain our nature scape, or work from home. Even if you work, there are activities to be involved. Contact Kate Thomas at kandgthomas@msn.com for information on upcoming volunteer activities.

- Milk Carton Recycling: Thank you to those who have helped out with milk carton recycling each day at lunch. Arleta recycles 2,000 Milk Cartons each week. If you are available around lunch time (10:45 - 12:15), go to the front office and talk with JoAnn or Kathy.
- Arleta Clean Team: The Green Team is working hard to keep Arleta School clean. Instead of stepping over cartons and wrappers, take ACTion to show students how to better care for our school. Join the Arleta Clean Team (ACT) Monday mornings at 7:30 by the cafeteria and help pickup litter from around the school.
- Monday is Bread Day at Arleta: You may have noticed that your child is coming home from school on Mondays with loaves of fresh bread in their backpacks or a baguette in hand. Every Monday Urban Gleaners currently delivers fresh bread from local area grocers and bakeries to Arleta. The Green Team needs your help on Bread Day (Mondays) with set up and clean up. Delivery is at 11 am, setup is at 1:30, and clean up is at 2:15 each Monday. If you are interested in volunteering in the distribution process, please e-mail kandgthomas@msn.com.
- Arleta Art Fair: Friday, May 4, 2012 6 p.m. More information coming soon.
