Natural Resources

Contact: Misty Scevola

The Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences Program prepares students to investigate major factors impacting life on Earth. Students study basic concepts of ecology, data management, and environmental policies and apply them in real-life settings. Students learn skills emphasizing scientific design, high-order thinking, verbal and written communication, and collaboration. Field work is an important component of the Natural Resources vocation, and students are encouraged to become actively involved in projects that address real world problems at community-based work sites.

Students interested in the application of science to the natural environment, conservation, and public policy will find the Natural Resources and Environmental Science vocation intriguing and rewarding.

Students can also participate in the ROV (remote operated vehicle) class in which they create remote operated vehicles and compete. To read more about ROV, click here.
