• Child care available for incoming kindergarten students during the meeting

Spanish Immersion Schedule for 2012

All families applying to the Immersion Program must attend a tour or an evening meeting.

Tours

Please call the school office after January 3, 2012 to schedule a tour (503) 916-6288.  Limited spaces are available.  These tours involve going into the classrooms during instructional time, therefore we request no children on the tours.

• Tour Dates:  February 8, 15, 22, 29 and March 7, 2012
• Tour Times:  11:45 AM - 1 PM

               11:45 AM Meet in the Library with the Principal, Cindy Roby and Spanish Immersion Parent Docents.  12:15 PM Tours begin of school and classrooms.

Evening Meetings

• March 1 and March 8, 2012
• 6:30 PM in the Ainsworth Auditorium
• No childcare available at these meetings

Ainsworth Elementary is a Kindergarten through 5th grade school located in the southwest hills of Portland, Oregon.  Our school is an immersion and neighborhood school - which means that some of our students who attend Ainsworth are enrolled in the Spanish Immersion Program (Spanish/English) and the remaining students live within our neighborhood and are enrolled in the English (non-immersion) program.  Instruction is differentiated to meet the needs and abilities of each student.
