Class Photos: See your children in action working, playing and learning!

Mr. Schultz from the Steelheaders club brought in our salmon eggs today, Oct. 11.
Here is a video of Mr. Schultz when he dropped off the eggs.  He explained a little bit to us about Spring Chinook and their habits.  He talked about the eggs and their life spans.  The children are very excited about raising the eggs and releasing them in December.

Music For Our Planets: Composed by Room 26 Students

This is a listing of the videos I downloaded of the children playing the music they composed.  Some children choose to work with a partner and others are working alone.  They were each assigned a planet and were asked to compose some music that made them think of that planet.  The students did a wonderful job.  Enjoy the videos.  You should make comments for them to read.  Positive feedback does wonders for children and their motivation :)

Presentations of Our Treasure Maps

After a month of working on our treasure map, we are finished!!  The treasure map project was a review of geographic terms and a chance for the children to show their knowledge in this area.  Everyone brought their maps in last week and made short presentations about their islands.  Each person shared the theme of their map, talked about the treasure and a little of the history of their island.  It was fun to listen to everyone and see how creative they were.  The maps are on display in the classroom, please come in and take a look.  Here are some pictures, not the best, but showing the children and the comfort they had up in front of the class sharing their maps.
