I'm Lynn Malzahn, the Art Specialist at Ainsworth. My position is half time so I see your students for about an hour a week for half of the year. I am presently working with first, second and fifth grades, (from September through February.) I am looking forward to teaching kindergarten, third, third-fourth and fourth grades from February through June.
Each year we study the elements and principles of design while focusing on the work and life of one artist. This year the fifth graders are studying the Pop Artist, Claes Oldenburg. The second graders are getting to know Pablo Picasso and the first graders, Paul Klee.
Please contact your room parent if you are interested in helping in the art classroom. Thank you to all of the volunteers who have dedicated so much time to make the art program successful.

Tuesday: fifth grade, first grade
Wednesday (half-day, afternoon): first grade
Thursday: second grade
