Important Notes:

·        Rice Rock Museum field trip has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 6^th

• We are studying about other cultures, building World Awareness.  We are hopeful to make a class loan to KIVA.  Included is a home assignment you can help us with.  Please discuss your heritage with your child.  We will be mapping out where families came from on the World Map. 

Important Dates:

• March 14 – March 17, Owen will be the “Student of the Week”
• March 10, GOW Chili Cook-Off 5:30
• March 18, Planning Day, no school
• March 21 – 25, Spring Break
• April 1, Abernethy Auction

Classroom Focus:

• In Literacy, the comprehension skill is “Realism and Fantasy”.  In phonics, the focus is words with long i:  ie, igh.  In grammar, the focus is adjectives for what kind.
