551-478 BCE Lifetime of Confucius; the founder of Confucianism taught social ethics that became the foundation of Chinese education religion and ruling class philosophy.

1947 Britain separated India into India and Pakistan, two separate Hindu and Muslim countries. Hindus and Muslims had nonviolently fought to take away "British rule," they wanted "self rule." |

1990 In Kashmir Muslims are persecuting Hindus; they are fighting over Kashmir because both claim it. When Britain left after separating India and Pakistan they did not help resolve the issues with the Muslims and the Hindus. |
