About Meek

Joseph L. Meek Professional Technical High School, previously called Vocational Village High School, has been providing Portland youth with vocational and academic programs since its founding in 1968. We offer opportunities for students seeking an alternative to the traditional high school model.

Joseph L. Meek Professional Technical High School offers a smaller learning environment to students to be successful in school. An accredited high school in the Portland Public Schools district, we provide post-freshman students with an opportunity to earn a high school diploma. The schools offers career and technical programs in Arts and Communication, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology and Natural Resources.

Meek ProTech provides a small-school atmosphere for students previously unsuccessful in traditional high school programs. All students participate in a program emphasizing high school graduation and professional-technical training, preparing them for post-secondary education, advanced certification, and employment success.

If you have further questions, see our frequently asked questions or call the school to speak to a counselor.
