By Eve Bunting I recommend this book to someone who likes mysterious and suspenseful books. I like those kinds of books and I really liked this book. I thought it was interesting that ever since Marcus had a feeling that something weird was going on, he had a habit of looking out the front window every couple of hours. I thought it was especially mysterious when the food starts disappearing from Marcus' kitchen! |
By Roald Dahl I recommend this book because it was silly, suspenseful, and just everyday fun to read. The silly parts were when I heard about wizpoppers, reading the dreams, hearing the way the BFG talks and when the BFG is at the palace with Sophy. The main characters are Sophy, the BFG, the Queen of England, the 9 bad giants and the queen's maid. The setting is in England and in a giant country. |
By C.S. Lewis I recommend this fantastic book The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to people who like medieval times. It has good giants. It even has good monsters. The White Witch is the main bad guy. She casts a spell on Narnia so it is always winter and never Christmas. There is a lion named Aslan who is the son of the emperor above sea. He has magical powers. He is the king above all the high kings. At the beginning the kids, Peter, Lucy, Edmund and Susan go to Narnia through a wardrobe. When they get into Narnia and become kings and queens they got different names. The names are King Peter the Magnificent, Queen Susan the Gentle, King Edmund the Just and Queen Lucy the Valiant. There are six more books if you want to read more. |
By Brian Jacques I recommend this book to people who like adventure stories about a lot of animals and who like mysteries and traveling to different places. |
