Klein joins PPS from the Oregon Department of Education where, as chief information officer, he created one of the most effective IT infrastructures in state government.
"During his 11 years rising through the ranks at ODE, he undertook many major initiatives and was an incredible asset to the organization and to Oregon K-12 education," said Tony Magliano, deputy chief operating officer. "We are very lucky to obtain someone with his unique talents and excited to have him on board."
PPS also recognizes Jay Keuter's outstanding work while serving as the interim IT director. "Jay’s wisdom and expertise were crucial to keeping technology initiatives moving during this transition period," Magliano said.
Keuter will continue in his role as director of IT Client Services.
