The Portland School Board reviewed and approved the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) Dec. 3.
PPS averaged only two findings in each of the last 7 years - with only one finding in each of the last two years.
“One of the essential ingredients in promoting student achievement is a sound financial foundation for our school district," said PPS Chief Financial Officer Neil Sullivan. "Our clean slate on our annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the past 33 years is the level of fiscal soundness we expect at Portland Public Schools and that we work continuously to deliver.”
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report will be posted later this month at: http://www.pps.k12.or.us/departments/accounting/4515.htm
A summary of the audit is in the Board Book, page 37: http://www.pps.k12.or.us/files/board/12-03-12_Final_Packet.pdf
