Board discusses next steps in school bond program

Planning to fully modernize Roosevelt High School would begin in spring 2013 with construction beginning in Jan. 2015, according to a staff recommendation presented Nov. 19 to the Portland School Board.

PPS staff delivered the proposed plan to implement $482 million worth of school improvements – approved by voters earlier this month – to board members for their review and comments. The plan includes recommendations for project timelines, program management and board and community oversight.
