Sarah Lynn Schoening to direct Office of School Modernization
Sarah is an architect by training, with graduate studies in engineering at Kansas State University. She taught engineering and architecture at Kansas State and was program director of project management in the architecture department at Portland State.
She also managed the completion of a $140 million bond and organized, staffed, budgeted and directed an additional $83 million bond as senior director of facilities and modernization at Tamalpais Union High School District in Marin County, Calif. As a consultant, she then helped a southern California school district organize, budget and prioritize a $235 million bond last summer.
For PPS, Sarah will direct the development and execution of the Long Range Facilities Plan that takes a comprehensive approach to upgrading our 95 schools.
