We have made some new changes to the site. If you are having difficulty finding the information you are looking for, be sure to check the links in the left column (especially the Directory link), or try the Search button (at the upper right). If you are still having difficulty finding what you are looking for e-mail us at email@example.com
Updating your browser
We are working toward complying with the World Wide Web Consortium standards and guidelines which will make Web sites accessable to the visually-impaired. Versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer earlier than 4.0 do not support these standards, so Web sites (including ours) will display oddly and possibly function poorly on these old browsers.
These browsers may take a little while to download, but the added functionality makes it worth the wait. Once you have completed downloading and installing a new Web browser, http://www.pps.k12.or.us/splash.html will take you to the Portland Public Schools' Welcome page. Meanwhile, http://www.pps.k12.or.us/main.shtml will take you to the Portland Public Schools' home page (English version), containing links to the major categories of information on our site.
You will need Adobe Acrobat
Many documents on the Internet are in "pdf" format. You will need Acrobat Reader, a free plug-in for you browser, to view or print them. If you don't have Acrobat Reader, you can download it here:
