Referrals (Intiated by the school)

Each discipline of the Motor Development Team has responsibility for assessment of students’ skills, analysis for potential eligibility for their services, and determination of appropriate levels of service for eligible students.

To be considered for services from the Motor Development Team students must meet the minimum evaluation criteria for a disability category as stated in the Oregon Administrative Rules, have a disability that has an adverse impact on their education performance, and require specially designed instruction. Teachers and therapists on the Motor Development Team act collaboratively with other Individualized Education Program (IEP) team members - general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, psychologists and parents - to provide evaluation, program planning, and delivery of direct and consultative services for students with special needs.
