Family Support Centers

The mission of the Portland Public Schools Family Support Centers is to:

Improve student readiness
Bridge cultural and language barriers
Strengthen families by connecting them with resource in PPS and the community
Enhance school success

In Portland Public Schools, Family Support Centers do enrollment and assessment of all new students who speak a language other than English at home. We are the primary point of entry to ESL services for the district. The Centers also provide referrals for clothing, food, health care, housing, and other resources and educational services.

Both centers are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
