Free summer meals
Food and Clothing Assistance:
The Sunshine Division provides free food and clothing assistance to Portland families in need year around at 687 N Thompson St., 97227. Families typically receive three food store visits and two clothing store visits a year.
Hours of Operation:
9:30 am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 3:30pm (Monday through Friday)
9:00am to 1:00pm (Saturdays)

Free lunches — and breakfast at some locations — are served weekdays this summer for children ages 1 to 18 at PPS schools and Portland Parks & Recreation playground sites. Sites are open to any child who wants to participate, and the meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis. No application or paperwork is necessary.
Adult meals cost $4.
Some sites will also such activitiesas games, swimming, reading, and arts & crafts along with meals.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture provides federal funding for the Summer Food Service Program in school enrollment areas where more than 50 percent of students are eligible for free and reduced- price meals during the school year. The City of Portland and Multnomah County also contribute funding to provide staff and activities at summer meal sites.
