Coaches
Six schools participating in the project have a full-time Striving Readers instructional coach. Each coach has been trained in the Content Enhancement Routines, the Learning Strategies, the Xtreme reading curriculum, and has participated in one or more instructional coaching institutes.
By collaborating on lesson planning, engaging in dialogue, offering feedback, and encouraging reflection on instructional practice, the coach partners with teachers to support them in the implementation of content enhancement routines, learning strategies, and the completion of the Striving Readers outcomes.
