Motor Development Team
Welcome to the PPS Motor Development Team (MDT)! Since our inception in 1979, the Motor Development Team has been helping improve the motor abilities of school age students across the district. The MDT is made up of three itinerant disciplines: Adapted Physical Education (APE); Physical Therapy (PT); and Occupational Therapy (OT). Services are delivered in an efficient and cost effective transdisciplinary model that focuses on collaboration and sharing skills and knowledge to best serve students. Each team member is responsible for the assessment of students’ skills, development of service planning and implementation of those plans. All referrals for students who have motor needs should go through the referral process at your school. Click Here for the Motor Concerns form. There are two forms, choose the one that works best for you: One form is designed to be filled in on the computer and then printed out, the other form is to be printed out and then completed by hand.
