Student-Teacher Agreements

What is a "Student-Teacher Agreement"?

A Student-Teacher Agreement ("STA") is a contract between the District and a college or university in which selected students at those institutions receive hands-on teaching, learning, and practical classroom experience with a District teacher.  This experience typically provides the in-class direct teaching and learning skills required to complete the student's degree.

The District does not contract directly with students at these institutions.

Student-Teacher Agreements

The District has STAs with the following institutions:

The typical STA has a three-year term.  Each STA is valid for multiple students from that institution. If an STA already exists with your preferred institution, you may use it to place a student at your school; you need not create a new STA.

How Do I Enter Into a Student-Teacher Agreement?

To enter into an STA with an institution not listed above, please ask that your counterpart at the institution complete this contract template. If s/he has any questions on filling out the contract template, please have them email the Deputy Clerk for assistance.

If your student-teacher attends one of the above schools, please send an email to Recruitment Specialist Regina Stanton for assistance.
