Email and Passwords
Q: How can I reset my passwords on my own without having to wait for the Service Desk?
A: If you go to http://password.pps.k12.or.us you can login with your email user ID and current password and you will be asked 5 security questions. If you ever forget your password you can click on the “forgot password” link and you will be presented with 3 of the 5 questions to verify your identity. Until you set your 5 security questions you will not be able to user this feature.
Here is a step by step guide for PPS Password Manager:

Q: Why did I get the error “Identification failed” when trying to login to http://password.pps.k12.or.us?
A: If you find that you encounter an “Identification failed” error when you try to login to The PPS Password manager then try logging into http://inside.pps.k12.or.us using your e-mail username and password. Then click on “e-mail account manager” and then click on “my account.” Here you should be able to change your password. If you change your password it will cause your account to copy to the new server and within 15 minutes you should be able to login to the password manager at http://password.pps.k12.or.us. If you still find that you cannot log in then call the service desk and we will help get your account set correctly.
