The Move
The Portland Public Schools Office of Information Technology is preparing to roll out a new set of technology tools for staff and students. This project, called “The Move” is a multi-phased initiative including a self-service password reset tool, a new email system to replace Groupwise, and larger network stores for all users.
This project will use less expensive technologies like Outlook Live – a free-for-education offering from Microsoft, leverage environmentally-conscious virtual servers and provide equitable anytime/anywhere access for staff and students across the District.
