Dustin Milberg - Operations
Dustin Milberg is the Director of IT Operations. Prior to joining the district in 2008, he was the Director of IT Services for EMC. Dustin and his wife are heavily involved in the community and founders of Public Playhouse, a professional live theatre here in Portland.
IT Operations is the unified service organization for all IT related customer support (service desk) and infrastructure administration.
- PPS Service Desk.
- PPS System Administration supports the physical computer systems; over 250 servers supporting over 50 applications. This team also provides administration services for many of the applications you use every day like email, file, print, and messaging.
- PPS Telecom Administration is responsible for every piece of data flowing over the network (over 2.45 Trillion bits of data a day to the internet alone) and over 6,150 phones in the district.
- PPS Database Administration supports the data repositories of all of the district’s critical applications such as eSIS, Data Warehouse, and Admin Portal and Dashboard.
IT Operations also provides software and licensing management, technical project coordination, and liaison with external agencies and organizations to ensure that services are reliable and robust.
