New Staff Resources

As a new employee with Portland Public Schools, access to technology will be vitally important to your success.  Use of your PPS email is a business requirement for all staff. Email is how the District Central Office will communicate announcements, opportunities and news as well as some Human Resources information.  All teachers and most school staff are also required to use eSIS (student information system) for demographics, attendance, etc.  NOTE: Your PPS email username and password will also get you access to the Portland Learning Campus, the District's online learning system.

Email
Portland Public Schools uses PPSLive email (hosted email solution provided by Microsoft Live@edu).  A PPSLive account will be created for you as part of your hiring process.  You should receive an email to your personal email account once you attend your Essentials session or after you have signed final paperwork with HR. 

PPSLive
The webmail client  is very user friendly and meets the needs of the majority of our users.  If you would rather use a desktop client, Microsoft Outlook can be installed on your work computer.  Please call the IT Service Desk at 503-916-3375 for more information.  Check out the PPSLive section of our website for more information, user guides and FAQs.
