Teacher licensing and Elementary and Secondary Education Act (also known as NCLB) Highly Qualified status are critical components of educator employment and assignment.

While Human Resources has general knowledge that may assist you with your licensure or HQ status, the TEACHER STANDARDS and PRACTICES COMMISSION (TSPC) is the owner and distributor of Licensure information and standards for the State of Oregon. To ensure you receive accurate and current information about your license please contact TSPC.
All certified staff are responsible for obtaining and maintaining appropriate licensure for their assignment at PPS.
