Guiding Good Choices
This session for parents of 4th-8th graders focuses on building strong bonds between parents and children, identifying risk and protective factors, setting clear guidelines, establishing fair consequences, household meetings and refusal skills. It also addresses ways to manage anger and other strong emotions.

Making a  Smooth Transition from Middle to High School: Rites of Passage
Leaving middle school and beginning high school can be a challenging experience for any family. This interactive workshop focuses on how to navigate this important milestone successfully. Facilitators concentrate on three important areas: 1) how to prepare for the transition during middle school, 2) the actual transition from 8th to 9th grade and 3) starting strong in the first quarter of high school. Families will leave with concrete tips and tools for this important rite of passage.
