Jefferson Dance Program
Jefferson offers dance technique classes to in-district as well as co-op magnet students. Jefferson dance students may perform in one of two performing dance companies, the Jefferson Dancers or Modern Dance Lab. Dance classes at Jefferson are taught in professional studios by teachers with experience as professional dancers and/or choreographers. In addition, students have the chance to study with world-renowned artists in residency programs and to audition for post-secondary training schools and colleges. Two styles of dance for a full year satisfy the district's requirements for physical education. Advanced dance classes require prerequisites and a placement audition.
