Career and Technical Education

The secondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) is intended to help Oregon high schools support and prepare students in the use of demanding, industry-based technical and academic knowledge, and skills needed for success in high school and postsecondary preparation for demand-driven careers.

The CTE Program of Study approval and renewal process provides an external measurement of a CTE program’s quality, readiness and continuous improvement to meet the needs of students as they progress with their chosen career path.
