Public Affairs responds to requests for information and informs the community about issues and events affecting PPS; informs families about emergencies and inclement weather; coordinates districtwide information; and promotes new opportunities for community input.
What we do
- News Media: Handles media calls and supports schools responding to the media. Contact Matt if a reporter calls or with newsworthy events at your school.
- This Week in PPS: Writes a weekly media tip sheet about school/district events. Call Matt with items for this tip sheet.
- Emergency Communications: Coordinates family and media communication regarding weather or other emergencies, school closures or late openings. Your deputy superintendent contacts him while you work with your students and staff.
