Priority-Based Budgeting Process
Portland Public Schools is embarking on its Priority-Based Budget process for the development of our 2012-13 Annual Budget. This year's process is focusing on the General Fund and the Central Departments. The results of the process will be used to help build the Superintendent's Proposed Budget.
Portland Public Schools is taking the opportunity to review the drivers of its budget – on both the revenue and expense side – and to embark on a priorities-based budget process that will engage district leaders, staff and the community in ensuring that scarce dollars are paying for programs and services that have the highest positive impact on student learning.
